24 Dec 2013 | Scotty Newlands Joins All The King's Voices for a Concert at Toronto City Hall
|

|
For a third year, Scotty has been asked to lend his vocal talents to join the choral ensemble All The King's Voices that will be performing at Toronto City Hall. It is part of the Christmas Choral Celebration taking place in the Rotunda of Toronto City Hall.
This year's event will be hosted by City Tv's Gord Martineau, and includes performances by All the King's Voices, Toronto Beaches Children's Chorus, and Toronto Mass Choir with accompaniment by Tower Brass and organist James Bourne.
All The King's Voices is a mixed-voice, semi-professional choir that performs a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary. They have performed at Roy Thomson Hall, Glenn Gould Studio, Toronto Centre for the Arts and Black Creek Pioneer Village, and have been featured on CBC Radio, JAZZFM and CityTV. The choir has presented several great classical works with the Mooredale Orchestra and Talisker Players and for the Symphony Orchestra of Canada. They have appeared with such internationally acclaimed singers as soprano Measha Bruggergosman, tenor Ben Heppner and jazz singer Salome Bey. The choir has also performed for the Childrens Wish Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation.
There will be a number of well-known selections performed - both secular and non.
The concert is free and begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Rotunda of Toronto City Hall.

 Scotty Newlands returns to the ice at the Air Canada Centre to perform the anthems for the Leafs as himself - NOT 2LT Newlands. Scotty is happy to sing without his uniform on and will give it his all for everyone in attendance.

| Scotty Newlands sings the National Anthem and tribute "These Are Our Heroes" at the second annual Downsview Half Marathon
|
|
|
  After the success and response of the first year, Scotty has been asked back to sing the National Anthem and his own tribute song "These Are Our Heroes" at the second annual Downsview Half Marathon.
Each November 11th, it's important for Canadians to take time to remember those brave men and women who put country before self and went off to fight in far off lands for the freedom of others. Many of those, paid the ultimate sacrifice and gave their life in battle for the safety and protection of others. As new battles are fought, new veterans are produced. This day is to honour and pay resepct to all those who serve.
As this momentous event, over 1200 runners will be starting their November 10th with a brief Remembrance Day ceremony followed by the Downsview Half Marathon or 5k!

| Scotty Newlands sings the National Anthem for Remembrance Day at the ACC
|
|
|
 Continuing with a proud tradition, Scotty has been asked to sing the anthems for the Toronto Raptors as part of their Remembrance service pre-grame. This is by far definitely the most important game of the year to sing at - as it is time to reflect on the brave men and women who served both domestically and overseas. They fought for our freedom and many of them never returned home again. They fought and paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we can be free.
This performance marks the 4th time Scotty has sung for the Raptors Remembrance Day service. They face off against the Utah Jazz. Tickets can be purchased here.

|

It's time once again to honour the brave men and women who have served our country in conflicts far from home. Many of these individuals never made it home to live in the world they helped to keep free.
Continuing with a proud tradition, Scotty has been asked to sing the anthem for the Remembrance Day service game which will take place on the 8th of November.
This is definitely the most important game of the year to sing at - as it is time to reflect on the actions of these people who served both domestically and overseas. They fought for our freedom and many of them never returned home again. They fought and paid the ultimate sacrifice so that we can be free.
It is also an opportunity to pay respect and thanks to those current veterans who have served their country in various conflicts during our lifetime.

28 Sep 2013 | Scotty performs the National Anthem for the Road Hockey To Cancer event at Ontario Place | |
|  Scotty has been asked to sing the anthem to kick off the day's events at this year's Road Hockey To Conquer Cancer in support of the Princess of Margaret Hospital.
This is the third year for the event and more than 1500 players are scheduled to participate in the games that run all day. In addition, more 60 celebrities have been added to the roster to fill out the numbers. Scotty is happy to looking forward to strapping on his shoes, "taking the ice" and have some fun - despite his lack of athletic ability! It's all for fun and in support of a good cause.
He's also scheduled to sing the anthem for the Toronto FC at BMO Field - so it's going to be a busy day for him!
Let's show cancer that it can't win!!

3 Sep 2013 | Scotty performs the National Anthem for the MLSE Leafs & Legends Charity Golf Classic at Rattlesnake Point | |
|   Scotty will be singing the national anthem at the opening ceremonies for the 2013 Leafs & Legends Charity Golf Classic sponsored by MLSE. He is very happy to be associated with such a great organization that does incredible work for children and their familes.
Net proceeds raised at the Leafs & Legends Charity Golf Classic will support the MLSE Foundation’s Regent Park Athletic Grounds project and partial proceeds will be granted to Camp Maple Leaf, a long time partner of the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Association.

|  Scotty has been asked to perform the national anthems at the Chevrolet Silverado 250 being held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is thrilled to announce that it has been included on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 2013 schedule on Labour Day Weekend (September 1). This will mark the first ever Canadian stop for the truck series.
This Labour Day weekend race will also mark the first time in 13 years that a Camping World Truck Series race will take place on a road course. The historic significance of the track in Canada, combined with its thrilling 3.957 km road course makes Canadian Tire Motorsport Park the perfect place to make truck series history.
This marks the first time Scotty will perform with any NASCAR affilliation - he is truly honoured to have been given the opportunity to perform for his nation and be a part of racing history!

|  Scotty has been asked to perform the anthem at the Canadian Rugby World Cup Qualifier being held at BMO Field.
Our boys take on the United States in this extremely important game. Scotty, is honoured to have been asked by the team to kick off the opening ceremonies by leading the crowd in the singing of O Canada.

|  For the second time since 2006, Scotty has been asked by the Ontario Masonic Grand Lodge to entertain members at their annual meeting which is being held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
He will perform a number of standard tunes plus a few of my his own works.
This will be the first performance Scotty has done for Grand Lodge since being signed to Blue Sapphire/DEP/Universal and he is very much looking forward to performing at the Fairmont once again!

|  Scotty has been presented with the esteemed honour of being asked to sing the Canadian National Anthem at this year's MLB All Star Game being held at Citi Field in Queen's New York.
Scotty will be representing both the Canadian Armed Forces as well as the nation as a whole in this historical event.
In addition to Scotty, three of our beloved Blue Jays made the team: Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Brett Cecil.
The Home Run Derby takes place on Monday, July 15 at 8pm - so make sure to check that out before the game on Tuesday night.

|  Scotty has been asked to perform the anthem at the prestigous Queen's Plate being held at the Woodbine Racetrack. This will be the 154th annual running of the event and it is sure to be a very regal affair.
The day's events will kick off with the Hats and Horseshoes Party!

|  Canada Day will mark a continuing milestone for Scotty's history with the Blue Jays. After performing at last year's Canada Day ceremony, Scotty has been asked to once again lead the crowd at the Roger's Centre in the singing of the national anthems.
The Blue Jays take on the Detroit Tigers as we celebrate our nation's birthday in style.

|  Scotty will be singing the national anthem for the home opening game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Hamilton Tigercats.

|   Scotty will be singing the national anthem for the innuagural Team Up Challenge sponsored by MLSE.
Many different teams from across the city will come together to reaise money for Camp Trillium - a camp for terminally ill children suffering with cancer.
Teams will take part in Road Hockey, Soccer and Basketball as they battle each other at BMO Field.

|  It's that time - THE PLAYOFFS!!!
Our boys have fought their way through the season and finally they're poised to take Stanley Cup! As a Toronto boy, Scotty is so proud of his Maple Leafs and beyond honoured to have been asked by the team to sing the national anthems for the opnening ceremonies of both games 3 and 4 again the Boston Bruins.
The air will be electric at the Air Canada Centre and all of Canada will be watching to see how the boys in blue do in their first playoff series in 9 seasons! Scotty is thrilled to be part of it and is primed to do his best to represent the Canadian Armed Forces and make all Canadians proud.

|  Scotty has been asked to perform the national anthem at the conclusion of a Canadian Citizenship Ceremony which is being held at the Air Canada Centre. Thie event is hosted by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and will take place on the playing surface of the ACC.
This will be a special ceremony for the 40 plus new Canadians who will swear their allegiance to our country and Scotty is honoured to be a part of it.

I will be singing the anthems for the AHL Toronto Marlies at 3pm at RICOH Coliseum at their 2013 Canadian Forces Appreciation game.

|  Following an exciting 2012 that included 3 radio campaigns, a major CD release and the announcement of a contract with the Toronto Rock, Scotty will be starting his 2013 performances with a charity event to raise money for Yellow Brick House. He, along with a number of other Toronto artists will take the stage and put on a concert to raise awareness for a worth while cause.
In This House - Concert For Change will be held at the Central Bar located near Bathurst and Bloor. It is an intimate space that provides the perfect setting for an event such as this.
Instead of payment for tickets, guests are asked to please bring a package (big or small) of diapers with you. We will be collecting all sizes and brands to give to a Yellow Brick House which provides emergency and ongoing shelter and care for women and their children in domestic abuse situations. They are in dire need for baby supplies among other things, so we're holding a concert to help raise those resources for them.

Scotty will be performing an acoustic set with his guitarist Marc Teghrarian. This is a great chance to come on out, support some local artists, listen to some great music and raise awareness for a truly important cause.

| Hockey Is Back!
After an extremely long waiting period, hockey has once again returned to us!
Our beloved Maple Leafs will take the ice at the Air Canada Centre this Monday - Jan 21 to face off against the Buffalo Sabres.
Continuing a proud tradition for, Scotty, has been asked to sing the national anthems to kick off the season.
Scotty is honoured to have been asked once again to perform for everyone in attendance.
